On May 29, the State Post Bureau held a press conference in Beijing, announcing that China 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as “CHINA 2024”) will be held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center from November 29 to December 3, 2024. With the theme of "Stamps Present Asian Culture", CHINA 2024 boasts an unprecedented scale of approximately 1,900 frames and is expected to attract over 50 countries and regions participating in the exhibition and sales.
CHINA 2024 aims to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, showcase China's achievements in reform, opening-up and modernization, and promote international cultural exchanges and cooperation. During the event, a series of thematic activities will be held, including a thematic exhibition celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, an official exhibition of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), and an international philatelic seminar. First Day Cover (FDC) will be included as an exhibition class for the first time.
At the press conference, the official logo and mascot for CHINA 2024 were unveiled. The logo has integrated the elements of the Oriental Pearl Tower as well as the elements of stamps, symbolizing the diverse fusion of Asian philatelic cultures. The mascot, designed based on the image of “Brother Mailbox”, features a combination of the elements of Shanghai, the postal elements, and the thematic elements of philatelic culture.
